Leaders, the biggest name in the room is not always the best solution for your people.

One of the biggest lessons I have learned in this industry, is that decisions are not always driven by proven performance. 

Sometimes they are driven by large sponsorships, lobbyists, and who has the biggest budget.💰

To be clear, this is not a shot at every well funded company. Some absolutely offer strong solutions. 

But Industry leaders should be cautious when marketing presence is treated as proof of quality. 

I have had conversations with people who privately admit that decisions are not made based on who has the better solution, better user response, or better field performance. The larger brands often gets chosen because they fund events, donate equipment, or have large marketing budgets that appeal to the masses but don’t always deliver. 

🫣 That should concern all of us.

Safety is about protecting people and delivering positive outcomes 🚫Not brand recognition that’s only profit driven. 

The obvious questions 👇🏻

I was the kid who sat in the “special classes.”

Reading took me longer.  
Writing was frustrating.  
School often felt like a place that reminded me of what I couldn’t do.

For years I quietly carried the belief that maybe I just wasn’t as capable as everyone else.

What I didn’t understand then is that God was wiring my brain differently on purpose.

While others were focused on textbooks, I was learning how to read people.

I noticed how they felt.  
I paid attention to patterns.  
I questioned things that didn’t make sense.

What once felt like a weakness slowly became one of the greatest gifts God gave me.

Today I find myself speaking in boardrooms, on stages, and across industries about restoration, resilience, and the importance of fueling our bodies the right way so people can live and serve at their highest level.

If you had told the younger version of me that this would be my path, I probably wouldn’t have believed you.

But the truth is… this mission didn’t come from perfection.

It came from failure.  
From trying things that didn’t work.  
From trusting God in moments when I couldn’t see how anything would come together.

And every step of that journey prepared me to carry the restoration message that is now impacting workers, first responders, families, and leaders.

So if you’re someone who feels different…  
If your path hasn’t looked easy…  
If you’ve struggled in ways others don’t see…

Don’t assume that disqualifies you.

Sometimes the very thing you thought was holding you back is actually preparing you for your assignment.

I bet it has something to do with drinking water 😘

Because the moment people hear hydration or dehydration, they immediately think : drink water 💧 that single assumption is a big reason incidents and costs keep climbing.

Those two words I used to use were blocking the message I work so hard to address concerning our solution to heat/cold stress.

Not every Women in Construction story starts with women.

Mine didn’t.

Mine started with men who supported and believed in me and my companies mission.

There were moments that almost broke me.  

And I could not have continued in this mission alone.

The people who helped me build my company were men.

Men who didn’t see someone who didn’t belong.

They saw conviction.
They saw purpose.
They saw a mission worth supporting.

They opened doors.
They put me in front of decision makers.
They helped me get the message in front of people who were willing to listen.

Because of them, countless workers today have access
to our real-time Restoration system.


Those same men are still in my life today.
Still supporting me.
Still building alongside me.

So during Women in Construction Week, I want to honor something that often gets overlooked.

Yes, celebrate the unique strength women bring to the industry.

But also honor the men who were strong enough to recognize the strengths women bring.

Men and women are not the same.

Our strengths are different.
Our perspectives are different.

When those differences are respected, the result is powerful.

Without the men who believed in me early on, JMAR Solutions would not be what it is today.

So this week I say thank you.

Because when men and women align with each other’s strengths, the entire industry becomes stronger.

And that’s how legacies are built.

Not every Women in Construction story starts with women.

Mine didn’t.

Mine started with men who supported and believed in me and my companies mission.

Six years ago I stepped into construction as a small blonde with a big vision and a heat stress solution that exposes the false hydration narratives behind failing or incomplete prevention plans.

I wasn’t following the narrative.

I was standing against it.

Because I believed the workforce and their families deserve better.

Changing a deeply programmed narrative in an industry this big is not easy.

There were battles and financial burdens.
There was resistance and daily rejection.
There were moments that almost broke me.
